Great book for planning a new trip or a once in a lifetime trip

0 5/5 Brian (Santa Ana, CA, United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Very Best of Walt Disney World Resort (Kindle Edition) I had only been to Disney World once. I've always been able to spit on Disneyland from where I live, so I and my family have been there many times, and we get to sleep in our own beds afterward. But the venture to Disney World in FL happened only once as a child, car and all. So now that I have kids, and don't ever want to experience that car trip again, and all the sights, smellz and sounds that went with it, I'm taking us first class. That much will atone for the sin of not being willing to put myself through what my father went through. This is the book to get if you're going my way. If it's that once in a lifetime family thing and you're throwing a bankroll at it, this book will make sure your money is well spent on the best Disney has to offer and avoid the things that may not live up to their price tag. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 23, 2013

Extremely Useful: A-List Advice about doing the Best of Disney.

Unlike other Disney books that review everything an overwhelm you with choices, this one focuses on the very best things and those we may not know about, like having lunch/dinner with an imagineer or the backside tour so you can see what nobody else sees (it includes lunch) or the cost and unique privileges of a VIP tour ($275-$315 per hour with a six hour minimum). Do you want the Disney Dining Plan? You might not need it if you stay at Club Level Concierge rooms and visit their complimentary food area? Or you might want it if you're on a budget and would rather spend money when you have it and not be shocked later on with credit card bills. Are you travelling with 10 people? Then perhaps a Disney Villa makes more sense. Need a ride to the hotel? Careful, Disney's Magical Express makes a lot of stops, you could end up spending up to 90 minutes on a bus. I found myself making a lot of notes, like if you like buffalo and venison steaks, Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the... 5/5 Gregory Smith - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Still good, but not great this edition

I purchased this same book in 2013 when we last visited Disney World. I have to say that compared with our first-ever trip to Disney in 2011, this book made a WORLD of difference in 2013 in terms of getting on every ride we wanted multiple times and just generally informing us of what's out there and what is available to do. This time, however, I'm disappointed slightly by the book. It still gave me the same great detailed information on the parks, including each ride and restaurant, and the basic touring plans to get you from A-Z at the parks. However, I felt that this time there is much more of an emphasis on pushing readers to the website where you have to spend money in addition to the book you've already purchased to get more specific touring plans to meet your needs. Disney is already such a time-consuming vacation to plan. I had hoped this very LONG book would be sufficient in terms of a planning tool. Also, because of the length and complexity of the book, I... 3/5 KB2079 - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 0 5/5 Mickelle Nieves - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2015 (Paperback) Book was very helpful... We actually have the 2013 and 2010 books. If you have an earlier book I recommend you just buy the scheduler if already understand the new fastpass+ system. If you don't understand it this book will help some but the section that explains it isn't all that great and I learned more online at wdinfo, etc.The book series is good don't get me wrong....but if you have a fairly recent one I would just recommend updating your online subscription so you can plan your day out on your mobile phone. BTW a smartphone is almost a must at Disney now. You can't even make reservations at a restaurant without one (well its very difficult without one). 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 5, 2014

Another Disney Masterpiece, Made Of Their Many Masterpieces

I will start by saying I do not own this recording, but I did see the show in its pre-Broadway tour and it is a phenomenal show. The orchestrations are different from what you might find in the movie, yet they still have that old familiar sound that you hear everytime you watch a Disney movie. The 4 principle roles are extremely talented. Kaitlin Hopkins' voice reminds me of Christine Ebersole(Dorothy Brock in New Broadway Cast Recording of 42nd Street). Andrew Samonsky is a very talented young man with an education in Opera but you can't tell at all. He nicely converts to the pop style of Disney. My only compaint with him is that he seemed to be holding back at points. He screams vocal powerhouse. Brian Sutherland has a nice voice but Disney gave him all the easy/bad songs that don't show much vocal talent. Last but not least is Ms. Ashley Brown. She is the reason I am writing this review. This young woman has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. A Fresh New Twist on the Disney's Classics!!!

This review is totally based on what I heard from the CD for I have never seen the show or learned about its synopsis before. This might be kinda long so bear with me here.First of all, I have to say that I own most of Disney's soundtrack albums. I also own many Disney's compilation albums so sometimes I got a bit tired that they still released those same old songs again and again. I don't buy them anymore since I had most of those songs already. But this album is something different!!!BASIC FACT:The album is an original cast recording of a Disney's musical revue in 2005. (It never made it to Broadway due to a bad plot and storyline.) The album consists of 45 tracks on 2 CDs with over 70 Disney songs mentioned. Some of them are included as part of a medley and some are just snippet of songs to link to others. Some people tend to hate this idea of cutting down their favourite songs to a short piece but what I feel from this CDs is it makes the whole... 5/5 Karn R. Underrated Disney Nostalgia-fest

A while back I happened to stumble on this cast recording of a Revue of Disney songs, and looking at the set list I just though, WOW, I must listen to this double CD, and my god, am I glad I did! I ordered it straight away and within days I had possibly one of the best Cast Recordings I have ever owned, I study musical Theatre at University so I know what I'm talking about!Admittedly it take a couple of listens to get into the idea of these new arrangements on old classic from Disney ranging from the year 1930 through to 2004, but once you get over the initial shock of not recognising your favourite songs entirely, but they are arranged differently to fit into different 'Sessions' each with its own theme, including Ocean, Flight, Royalty, Cats and Dogs, to name a few, and they actually work really well, and seemlessly run into each other in delightful little medleys.Ashley Brown has an amazing voice as Kristen, and I have since listening to her on this... 5/5 Mr. T. This review is from: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2011 (Unofficial Guides) (Paperback) I enjoyed the details in this book. I would suggest buying The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2011 first before buying The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2011. I think this one goes into great detail about traveling with kids, but you seem to miss some of the bigger details about Disney World that you would get in the larger edition. Worth it

0 5/5 Hswilliams - See all my reviews This review is from: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2011 (Unofficial Guides) (Paperback) I've been to Disney World 3 times so I've got some experience in the parks. I am currently planning a trip for my family and wanted to see what a guidebook would have to say. I can already tell that the information in this book is invaluable. The tips you get for vacation planning are not limited to hotel and restaurant recommendations and touring plans. They even get into some child psychology and preventative family counseling! This book is anything but dry and boring and is loaded with lots of necessary information for people who want to truly enjoy their time in "The World". I think everyone will enjoy this guide, even if you are not an avid planner/Type A personality. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 10, 2011

0 5/5 Lulu - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2011 (Unofficial Guides) (Paperback) Okay, I went a little crazy when we decided to go to Disney World for the second time in 5 years, and I ordered several guide books; however, I really only needed this one! Really! It has everything covered from adventure ratings for different age groups to favorite snacks. Also, the website that accompanies the book is so awesome, and you can get a discount for that if you buy the book. Oh, and there are touring plans in the back for different families with varying kids' age groups complete with maps for people who don't want to get on the website. Wonderful idea! But my cots are falling apart.

I ordered these cots for my two 3-year old twins. The are absolutely fantastic, they setup in less than a minute, and are very easy to move around/collapse.I ran into an issue which is why I had to give these 3 stars. I know it's not random since it's happened twice. There is a small plastic knob with a metal screw that holds the cot fabric to the frame. There are six of these per cot. Two of these have broken on me so far, and there is no way to fix them. I was able to get some hardware from a home improvement store to fix the cot, but I haven't had the cots but a month before they started breaking.I contacted Regalo (the company that creates these costs) by email and never received a response.Other than that, these are great!***Update, I contacted Regalo for the third time, and they finally sent me the replacement parts I needed.***Another update, These knobs continue to break off. Good thing Regalo sent me six of... 3/5 Michael Ramey "Christian" (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews, February 5, 2008

Excellent product for a very reasonable price

** NOTE: I purchased this late March 2012. I believe I have an updated model as compared to the description of the product in previous reviews. **Now that my kids are a little older, my wife and I plan to do a little more traveling. Unfortunately the entire family sleeping in a large king sized hotel bed is becoming less of an option. We decided that purchasing travel cots/beds would be the solution. There were some key features we were looking for:* First, we wanted a bed that was economically sound :) I'm sure anyone reading this who has more than one child understands that when one kid gets something, the others have to have the same. In our situation we would need to purchase 2.* Second, we wanted it to be compact when stored as we have minimal vehicle space already. As with the previous note, we would need to cram 2 into the car.* Third, ease of assembly.* Fourth, durability. This and the previous note pretty much does away with an... 5/5 V. Perfect For Us!

We bought this item in hopes that it would provide our daughter with her very own bed when we travel and provide us with a little more sleep. It has far exceed those expectations. We brought this cot for our trip about four weeks ago and it held up its end of the bargain. Our daughter immediately loved it and was very happy she had her own big girl bed. After we got home from the trip she still wanted to sleep on the cot. She has now used it to watch tv on, when she goes to the park and sleep overs. The cot comes with a removable fitted sheet that is easy to wash and is taken off when we take the cot to the park. There is no set up as it folds up in seconds and is very light weight as my daughter even likes to carry it. It comes with a travel carry case that makes it easy to store as well. It could easily fit above the overhead luggage of a plane. The cot is very comfortable for my daughter and is very durable. Looks like the company also has other versions of this in different color... 5/5 FBfive - See all my reviews This review is from: Regalo My Cot Portable Toddler Bed, Pink (Baby Product) We bought this item in hopes that it would provide our daughter with her very own bed when we travel and provide us with a little more sleep.
