Other than technical camera and photo advice, there wasn't really anything new. However, if you've never been to Disney World before, this would probably be helpful for you. I did enjoy the introduction though, as I completely agree that Disney World really is the happiest place on Earth! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 2, 2013

0 5/5 Katherine Kristan - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Birnbaum's 2015 Walt Disney World: The Official Guide (Birnbaum Guides) (Paperback) I am a total WDW addict and go every year. And yet no matter how many times I have been there, I can't do everything. That is why I buy a Birnbaum's every year. I actually read it cover to cover (yes I am a big geek) and always manage to learn something new, or find something new I want to try. It's not just about learning what is new this year, you get to learn all the little details you may have missed on previousl trips. There are events that I only learned about a year or two ago, and they have them several times a week. The Wishes dessert party was a great addition to one of my trips. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 27, 2014

From approximate weather, crowd size, new exhibits/attractions...knowing which hotels are the most affordable and where they are located in location to your favorite Park(Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Downtown Disney). Best places to eat, where to find the best coffee, where to locate the characters for the kids to see....it just goes on and on. An excellent guide for your travels to DisneyWorld!

I have been fortunate to read a LOT of DisneyWorld (and Disneyland) books and guides over the years since I"ve been to WDW 15 times and Disneyland 7 times (oh, and 4 Disney Cruises). This book is a five star book because for rookies and veterans it is a helpful source in every regard. Good maps of the various parks with good information about various rides (who will/will not like the particular ride, etc...) and good information about the parks themselves and the various places to eat at Disney World. The book is an easy read and would be a guide you might take with you at the park (it's a bit large so you'd want to put it in a backpack, etc...on your adventures at WDW). This guide does not have very many pictures (only a few color photos in the back of the book), but the maps are excellent in the book and there are small pockets where you can put tickets, notes, etc...inside the book along with the ability to keep a diary in the book of your adventures with Mickey and all... 5/5 J. Great companion to the Hidden Magic of WDW Book

I purchased the Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World book when it was first published and was greatly impressed with it. Instead of telling me where I should run off to next to enjoy my WDW vacation, it instead showed me how to elevate my appreciation of the parks to a whole new level. As a result, when I speak with veteran WDW guests who believe they've seen it all, I frequently recommend the book to them as a way to take their visits to the next level. So, imagine my surprise when I happened to look on Amazon the other day and discovered that two of my very favorite WDW experts and authors had published a brand new planner. Without even being certain exactly what I was ordering (though certainly having a good idea), I immediately placed my order for the new planner and received it today. I haven't fully digested all the information in the new planner yet, it's simply too full of great information to help plan and remember my wonderful WDW vacations. While... 5/5 John Crissup - See all my reviews, March 15, 2012

Love the organization and details of this little book!

A little about me (currently): mom to twin 4 year olds, thinking about going to Disney World (and maybe Disney Cruise), have not done any research on Disney, haven't been to Disney myself in eons. As a professional, I research a lot and love to dig through information.First off, I love that this is a SPIRAL bound book. Makes it so easy to lay this book flat and it stay where I left it, or, you can bend the book all the way around so you just have one page facing up.The layout of the book is really pleasant and consistent. The words/content was not scrunched on to the pages, it is very easy to read, and actually room for notes (if you want) right on the page. Each chapter starts out with an Intro, and then a "Practical Information". As the authors tell you about hotels, attractions, etc., they call out "Hidden Magic" (which I equate to like an Easter Egg ;); "Reality Check" (what I call a "let's think about it" moment); "Rookie Mistakes" (probably what a... 5/5 Toodles! Disney World Fast Pass demystified, Mostly

0 4/5 KJ (Ortonville, MI USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Complete Guide to FastPass+ and My Disney Experience: Tips & Strategies for a Magical Disney World vacation (Kindle Edition) What a timely book! We are planning our Disney Vacation in a couple of months and I have been confused by the current Fast Pass system. The hints in this book make the system not seem as daunting. It also talks about how to use the Disney World App to the fullest. So now I am planning on getting to know the App really well before going to Disney as appose to downloading it on the way down there. My only complaint is that there really is except for a sentence here or there, the princess / character lines are pretty much ignored. For those of us with younger children, these are actually more important than the rides. I doubt that we will be riding the Snow White Mine ride or Space Mountain, but I can guarantee that we will be saying hi and greeting Mickey, Pluto, Elsa, etc. (And I have a boy!) 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 20, 2015

0 5/5 GreyHairedLady - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: The Complete Guide to FastPass+ and My Disney Experience: Tips & Strategies for a Magical Disney World vacation (Kindle Edition) As I prepared for my first adventure in the online Land of Fast Pass + (NOT my first adventure to WDW), someone recommended this book to me. For a basic guide without a lot of frills, this is a good book. The author gets straight to the point and does not include an overwhelming amount of information. If you are new to the FP+ system, this is a good primer to use before you make that first click. If you are new to WDW, then I would suggest this author's other books to you as well. Based on the content of "The Complete Guide to FastPass+ and My Disney Experience," you will find his books to have all the basic information you need to plan a vacation to WDW. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 22, 2015

If you look at attendance charts for Disney World, you can see that this is not the case. Best book out there

Let me start by saying that I have gone to Walt Disney World when it was just the Magic Kingdom in the 70’s. I have gone with my children when they were little and most recently with my 12 yr old daughter. I have never had a bad Disney trip. I always read books and did research. That being said I also know that I missed a good percentage of what was there, wandered around in circles and wasted time/money.I found one of the author’s sites 2 years ago when I was planning the trip with my daughter. The site and knowledge that Josh shared was what made that trip so amazing. When I learned that he was writing a book I couldn’t wait to get it.The key statement that sets this book apart from all of the other books out there is in the introduction, “sit back, relax and enjoy the planning”. This is your key to success. This book is a comprehensive guide for the first time visitor or someone that has gone twenty times. Great Choice for the First Timer

The Easy Guide to your First Walt Disney World Visit, written by Dave Shute and Josh Humphrey, is a great resource for guests who are looking for vacation planning guidance. What most people don’t know is that planning a Walt Disney World vacation, especially for the first timer, is a daunting task. Sure, it looks like fun on the commercials….and it will be once you get there….but before that can happen, you have many, many hours of planning ahead of you. I am a travel agent who plans Disney vacations and I can tell you, as a professional, that planning a space shuttle trip to the moon is only slightly more complicated than planning a Disney vacation (but the moon doesn’t have a Dumbo ride so it is not as much fun). The hard truth is, a book that encompasses every possible thing to do, see and consider at Disney World would be thousands of pages and who has time for that?
