Creator: Eve Zibart, David Hoekstra | Travel - 2009-10-26

But we have not devoted space in this book to the “value” resorts (All-Star and Pop Century) because, obviously, these are the most family-oriented (meaning kid -centric) group in Walt Disney World, and that's not what we're about.

Great book to plan a trip for the family

I love books and I love planning. So it’s no wonder that I am preparing myself in advance for a trip to Florida with our family. Having a great relationship with some publishers, I have approached one of them to see if I could review some titles related to Florida and Walt Disney World. So the first title that I would present you is the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide for Walt Disney World and Orlando. This book is thin in size and could easily be carried wherever you go while visit the area or the theme parks around Orlando. In the first section of the book, you will be introduced to Walt Disney World and Orlando as a whole. Specific days are pre-planned for you in order to enjoy some of the must-see attractions in the area. It will also present you the geographical aspect Florida, give you a small history of the state and how to enjoy Central Florida through the year. The next section is the one that highly interest me when planning comes. Wonderful Guide to Disney for Christmas! 5-Stars!!!

One of my best childhood memories is of our family trip to Disney World when I was seven. It was July, and the heat was oppressive, but there was a magic in the air that made all of this fade away as I had the chance to get my picture taken with Mickey Mouse and Goofy and drive my mother insane by singing It's a Small World After All, and the Imagination Song (I still have my Figment). Now, as an adult, I've been thinking about how to do something special and interesting this holiday season, which is why I picked up this book. And what a hidden gem it is! It is clear that Mr. Bingham really put the research into this book, and he shares it in a clear, well-thought-out manner that really gives you the inside scoop on what to see, and how to do it in the most cost effective, fun maximizing way.I especially loved Mr. Bingham's advice on how to best use the Disney photo package. It never occurred to me to have the park take my pictures, but for someone like me who... 5/5 Carla Davis (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) An Absolute Delight and a Merry Christmas to All

Mr. Bingham leaves no question unanswered. His clarity of purpose, to get the most fun out of whatever he is doing, makes this book an absolute must for anyone who wants to enjoy the Christmas experience available at Disney World. It appears that whatever your personality or sensibility Mr. Bingham understands and can guide you to the best time of your life.I am somewhat of a grinch, I don’t have children and I resist commercialization of my entertainment. That said, I have been to Disney world twice in the last twenty years for a day each time. On both occasions I had a good time and was impressed, with the professionalism I witnessed in the performances and customer service at the park. My awareness of the uniqueness of Disney World and associated curiosity made me download this guide to a Walt Disney Christmas.Once I began reading I couldn’t put it down and found I was considering and even planning, despite myself, what dates would best suit me... 5/5 Reuben Paul Wade - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
