    Great behind the scenes look!

I can't believe there isn't a review for this DVD! What a fun movie! It is a wonderful look behind the scenes at some of the top thrill rides at The Walt Disney World Resort. Having never been to Disney World, I loved being able to see this preview of what a visit to the Magic Kingdom can hold. The best part of the movie is learning the story behind the rides- why they exist, and what is happening as you ride along through them. I loved it so much I have already shown it to my family. It made me immediately want to start packing my bags for a trip to the Magic Kingdom! 4/5 Jen (Orem, UT) - See all my reviews This review is from: Ultimate Walt Disney World (Amazon Instant Video) I can't believe there isn't a review for this DVD! The #1 Go To Book for planning a Disney Vacation (and then some)

For those of us who have never been to Walt Disney World or have only been only once or twice, I cannot recommend a better book on the market. This book, and the accompanying website, touringplans.com, are the best sources of in-depth reviews, ratings and details of every aspect of WDW. From hotels/resorts to dining to rides and venues, this book HAS IT ALL IN ONE PLACE. The most important feature of this book, in my opinion, are the Touring Plans - which give you an idea of how to tour the parks in an efficient manner so that you spend less time in long lines and more time enjoying your vacation. Hit those headliner rides first and utilize the Fast Pass system. You'll be much happier and less stressed for it.I have purchased earlier editions of this book, but things change quickly at Walt Disney World and the 2013 edition has up-to-date information on the major changes to Fantasyland and everything else that has changed since our previous visit.Below is a... 5/5 Gitsy (Northeast USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The Bible of all things Disney World

As a Disneyfied Florida mother of 2 Disneyfied boys (and wife to a more reluctant but willing Disney husband), I was very impressed with the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2013. We go to the Disney World parks at least once a year and sometimes two to three times a year. We have stayed at value resorts, moderate resorts, and a couple Deluxe resorts as well. We have been during summer, the days leading up to Christmas, spring break, Easter, and slower times like May or November. I subscribe to touringplans.com, read disboards.com, and check up on a couple Disney blogs regularly. Why do I tell you all this? To emphasize that someone that is as Disney-fanatic as me still learned some new things from this book.Really, this is the only book you need for Disney. It has it *all*. It is not biased towards Disney, so the authors give you a fair representation of Disney, both the positives and the negatives. With nearly 900 pages, here are the highlights:... 5/5 Mom to 2 boys (FL) - See all my reviews, October 2, 2012

Fantastic information for all types of WDW fans

I consider myself a Disney World expert. I've been to Disney several times (in fact, I'm on track to have been to Disney 4 times in 14 months), stayed at most levels of hotels (value, moderate, and deluxe), read Disney World forums, blogs, Facebook groups, work as a Disney travel specialist, and I even have a large and well-traveled Disney World food blog and a Disney World family/crafting blog. I honestly expected that this book would give me no new information, would be lacking any worthwhile info with regards to the new Fantasyland expansion and associated rides, and would only have real value for those who never go to Disney, have never been, like to micro-manage their Disney time, or those who're just generally clueless about the whole Disney experience. However, I was very surprised to find information that was completely up-to-date, offered surprisingly complete evaluations of the new Fantasyland and how to tour it, and even had a wealth of useful information I put to... 4/5 Jerusha "Scarlet Harlot" (New Hampshire) - See all my reviews, October 8, 2012

Everything you might want to know about the Disney Parks..

Picked this set up today at one of the local stores. Thought I'd share some comments. The set consists of six DVDs, each in an individual thin case - which are stored in a cardboard sleeve. Most of the videos are "widescreen", but a few are "full screen" 1.33:1 ratio and they all lack close-captioning. These videos document what there is to do at the parks and attractions, with a lot of interviews of park employees and with actual customers. It does start to seem like a hour long commercial for Disney, but I guess that is expected given that it's a detailed look at a theme park and it's attractions.Listing of the discs;1) Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes. 52 minutes with two extra features; What's New in the Haunted Mansion & Stitch's Great Escape. Not sure just how long each of the extra features are - but they seem to be around 8~12 minutes. This DVD reminded me of the History Channel's documentary... 5/5 K. I plan on picking these up in the near future...Please keep in mind that the 6 pack dvd version contains more then the blu ray. Why? Don't know...you would think all of it would be on blu ray. Just keep in mind that if you buy the blu ray that you get the same movies on dvd + 3 more and all the extras. Since blu ray players will up convert, it might be a better deal to go with the dvd version. 5/5 crow11ad (Texas) - See all my reviews This review is from: Disney Parks: The Secrets, Stories and Magic Behind the Scenes [Blu-ray plus DVD and Digital Copy] (Blu-ray) I plan on picking these up in the near future...Please keep in mind that the 6 pack dvd version contains more then the blu ray. As good as the "live" performance

Just got back from a trip to Disney World where I bought this CD. I only wish I had known that it was available here on Amazon.com--I would have saved myself some $$.However, the album is quite wonderful. Disney has written some incredible music for their Epcot displays that are well worth listening to back at home. The Reflections of Earth (track one) can only be described as a Symphony for the next century. The Tapestry of Nations (track three) is a wonderful 23 minutes of rythmic singing and drums that is quite inspiring. You don't need to have seen the original live performances to enjoy this CD. 4/5 Ryan (New Orleans) - See all my reviews This review is from: Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration (Audio CD) I bought this CD at DisneyWorld and I'm now kicking myself for not waiting to buy it here! Perfect for someone who wants to experience Disney and knows nothing about where to stay

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Provides a great overview of the Disney World deluxe resorts and has helped me to identify which ones I am most likely to enjoy. One of the most helpful things for me was being able to pinpoint resorts based on group size. I have a big family, so it was really helpful to know where we can (and cannot) stay to keep us all together. Definitely recommend this book. One thing I would love to see in the next edition is the inclusion of some maps to help visualize where the resorts are located in relation to one another and all of the other Disney attractions. 5/5 H. An insider's view on VIP Disney

There are plenty of WDWR guides available on Amazon but this one fills a particular niche for visitors wanting to choose between the on-site properties and plan a unique vacation. The author demonstrates a true insider's knowledge of which Disney resorts to visit and clearly knows Florida's Mouse House from the dining plans to how the grounds are maintained. This book is specifically for people who want their Disney trip to be the vacation of a lifetime and is filled with details you simply wouldn't know otherwise.Apart from the practical coverage of the resorts and their dining options, there's an excellent section on hidden VIP experiences. Want to know how a ride works? Never want to wait in line again? How about a reserved seat for the parade? Or how about dining with an Imagineer? WDW on $1000 a Day (or More)

Whereas most WDW guide books emphasize ways to make an expensive vacation (and let's be honest, ALL WDW vacations are expensive) more afordable, this book does just the opposite by highlighting all of the most expensive options available. Of course this is exactly what it claims to do, and it succeeds wonderfully. Only deluxe-grade resorts are discussed and restaurant reviews focus primarily on WDW's "signature" establishments (although others are discussed). The details provided, however, are exquisite. In a "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" sort of way, you can learn about the contents of the $2000/night luxury suites, chartered cruises, elegant spas, 13 course chefs' table meals, limo services, etc. Although many options for children are discussed (including $150 tea parties), the unspoken theme to this book seems to be how affluent adults can turn a "theme park vacation" into a high-end "resort vacation" that also happens to have theme parks (perhaps you can let your Nanny... 4/5 Trout26 - See all my reviews This review is from: The Luxury Guide to Walt Disney World Resort, 3rd: How to Get the Most Out of the Best Disney Has to Offer (Paperback) Whereas most WDW guide books emphasize ways to make an expensive vacation (and let's be honest, ALL WDW vacations are expensive) more afordable, this book does just the opposite by highlighting all of the most expensive options available. Of course this is exactly what it claims to do, and it succeeds wonderfully. Informative

I thought this book was informative and enjoyable. My family and I go to Disney about once a year and we always plan ahead of time. But even with going every year and eating at many of the restaurants mentioned in this book, I learned things I hadn't known. I enjoyed reading this book more than most of the other Disney books out there. I would recommend this book. 5/5 lisa molnar - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Nice overview of luxury resorts, but that's about it.

If you're looking for a luxury resort in Orlando, this book is certainly a great tool to help you make a choice! It goes over all the features of the Disney Luxury Resorts, as well as other luxury options in the region, including the best suites, spa recommendations, dining locations, but that's about where the luxury stops. After that, it becomes a pretty standard guide. It barely mentions shopping, talks very little about the tours available in the parks, and doesn't tell you enough about the Orlando area. I'm a bit disappointed. 3/5 NarnianQueen - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
