  The new edition is terrific!

  This edition seems to hit all the high points, which is helpful for someone on a limited time vacation. Good restaurant tips, and pointers to out-of-the-way spots that show a true insider's knowledge of this beautiful part of the world.   Great Overview of Baja

  I read this before going on a week vacation to the East Cape. We used it for tips on beaches to visit in Cabo, and places to eat and shop in Los Cabos. I also enjoyed the history section at the beginning.   Nice book

  Seems to have most of the information I was looking for (not needing a hotel). It's very light so easy to take with on trip. Only wish is had better maps.   Good Starter Guide for Visitors to Baja

  In anticipation of an upcoming trip to Southern Baja, I purchased LOS CABOS & BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR [Kevin Delgado] and Fodor's LOS CABOS & THE BAJA PENINSULA. Both guides are useful, but much of it depends on what you're looking for in a travel book. In short, Delgado's book is more of a directory. That is, he provides fairly extensive reviews on the major hotels, inns, and restaurants in the main cities/towns of Baja. Fodor's is better for a review of restaurants, whereas Delgado's is better at helping you decide where to stay.The bottom line for me is that the Fodor's book is a much better purchase. The authors give greater descriptions of what you can see/do in Southern Baja than is true for Delgado. In contrast, Delgado only hits on the main communities (Cabo San Lucas, San Jose Del Cabo, Todos Santos, La Paz), but even then, the background provided about these towns is scant.   Great guide to plan your Los Cabos vacation

  We bought this guide to use when we were vacationing for a week in Los Cabos. The guide would have been so helpful when we were selecting a hotel.   Outdated and Impossible to Navigate on Kindle

  This started as a promising read as we traveled to Cabo. However, we quickly found that it was outdated. For example, of the first two places the book recommended to eat, one was no longer in business and the other had already changed locations. (We actually drove around trying to find it one night.)Even if it were up to date, it's nearly impossible to navigate on Kindle when attempting to "flip" through sections. It desperately needs a table of contents that's more detailed so you can "Go To" sections as you need them. For example, one section is so broad it's actually titled "Los Cabos"--where it has the bulk of book's contents. This section includes both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, where to eat, stay, things to do there, tour companies etc. When trying to find something on Kindle we found ourselves tapping page by page to try to find things.   Fodor's is more user-friendly

  Like a previous reviewer, I bought both this and the Fodor's guide. I agree that this book goes into less depth and gives less detail than the Fodor's guide. Here are some additional points of comparison:Maps: This book has few maps, and few points of interest are noted on the maps. Fodor's has more maps with more marked points.Style: This books is written mostly in long paragraphs, which makes it hard to skim for the important bits.Comparative Charts: Love this about the Fodor's guide.   A trip to the Cabos usually does not involve a great deal of land travel as the Baja peninsula is long. But casual tourist and serious visitors alike can learn from this compact guide book.   Not a Comprehensive Book

  I was very disappointed in this book. I bought it soley for San Jose Del Cabo & Cabo San Lucas information, & a lot of restaurants & even resorts were missing. I found the sections on those two areas lacking in historial, cultural, sightseeing, restaurants, hotels and just about all "areas" of information.
