    Best season yet

I just finished watching the last episode of Season 4 - it has been an amazing season. While I did miss some of the show's regular characters, the addition of new characters and new story lines is simply a reflection of reality. People move in and out of our lives all the time, we meet new people, we lose track of others. As much as I adore the people in Dillon Texas and irrationally think of them as real people, I don't know if I've ever been moved so deeply as I have been this season watching new character Vince. I wanted to reach in through the screen and give him a hug and tell him that he was doing the right thing and that I was proud of him. That's how real this amazing young actor was. The story's shift to a less affluent side of town was also eye-opening and dramatic. Coach and Tammy Taylor continue to show us the most natural and real depiction of married life on television. I just can't say enough good things about this show. I'm so grateful that DirectTV and NBC continue to... 5/5 Lala (Ohio) - See all my reviews This review is from: Friday Night Lights: The Fourth Season (DVD) I just finished watching the last episode of Season 4 - it has been an amazing season. Still the BEST Show on Television

The writers had quite a task in Season 4 in a short 13-episode season. Unlike so many of the teenage shows, FNLs actually allows its key young actors to move on, sometimes come back ... just as in real life. And it introduces new characters into the lives of the people of Dillon. This coming and going of people in their lives is just as it is in high schools across America.Season 4 centers around Coach Taylor's exile to dilapidated East Dillon High school, while his beloved wife, Tami, remains Principal of Dillon High. The re-districting creates a schism between the Taylors, the Panthers and the Lions, the students of the 2 schools, the Boosters, and the town make for some interesting story-telling. It also creates a further schism between the races and economic classes ... the "haves" and the "have nots." This season mirrors the Great Recession where everyone but a very few struggles. Tami is now the major breadwinner in their family, Coach is still out on a 2 year... 5/5 Dolphin (Vancouver, WA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Friday Night Lights: The Fourth Season (DVD) The writers had quite a task in Season 4 in a short 13-episode season. The Lights Shine In East Dillion

***Spoiler Free Review of the Season***The fourth season of Friday Night Lights was fantastic! It's a very important season of transition for the show as it attempts to move from the show we knew into the show it has to become. Rather than allow it to become a standard drama that repeats the same stories with the same characters the writer's decided to work on having characters we love move on in realistic fashion at the same time as they introduced us to and tried to make us care for new ones. To help ease the transition the writers wisely cheat to keep familiar faces Landry and Julie around for one more year of high school. Meanwhile Matt Saracen and Tim Riggins are both still struggling to get their lives started this season and they each hold some of it's strongest scenes in a season partially designed to give their amazing characters proper send off.The show can never exist without the continued presence of Eric and Tammy Taylor at it's core to hold all... 5/5 Reconnecting To My Childhood "Time Won't Let ... - See all my reviews This review is from: Friday Night Lights: The Fourth Season (DVD) ***Spoiler Free Review of the Season***The fourth season of Friday Night Lights was fantastic! Not really the end...

Since previous reviewers have done such a great job summarizing the plot I will stick to my own impressions of the book: an excellent and engrossing story.I loved Robin's easy-going character. My personal preference is for characters who don't wear all their tortured pain on their sleeves for the world to see. Whereas Michael hides his steel under soft-spoken diplomacy, and Lucan hides his good heart under ruthless depravity, Robin hides his inner self under a flippant and flirtatious attitude. An attitude that the heroine, of course, can see right through. I also enjoyed the continuation of Alex and Michael's story - the fact that their story weaves through the entire series is one of my favorite aspects. Although probably not meant to be funny, Alex's completely awful bedside manner keeps me laughing at odd moments through the dark and creepy series.Dark and creepy is another thing that makes me love these books so much (although Robin's book "felt" a lot... 5/5 J. Forgettable Final Book In Series

I was very much looking forward to reading Robin's story in Stay the Night. I was also sad to hear that this was the last book in the series and I was curious as to how it would all end.Robin of Locksley has been stealing from the rich for the last 700 years. With the help of his Darkyn powers, he can charm just about anyone into handing over anything. The FBI dubbed him The Magician for his most recent larcenous exploits involving the theft of priceless works of art.Chris Renshaw is a special agent for the FBI. She was recently transferred to the Chicago office amid a scandal involving her partner's firing and subsequent suicide. Chris knows that the Magician is somehow involved and is more determined than ever to bring this thief to justice. She leads the operation to find him and goes undercover as an arts dealer. The Feds decide to exhibit The Maiden's Book of Hours, an ancient manuscript that Robin has been coveting for hundreds of years... 3/5 loonigrrl (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews, January 7, 2009

7th and final Darkyn Novel, but don't fret it's not really the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the Stay the Night. I liked Robin, we met the infamous charming thief of Robin Hood fame two books ago in . Robin's love interest Chris is the perfect torture for him, a woman who is totally immune to his Kyn power of charm. As an FBI agent out to catch the Magician, as Robin the thief is known to the art world, Chris is also the nemesis to Robin's thieving self to boot. I liked that Robin had to work to win Chris' heart despite the obvious chemistry - it was amusing to watch his affront when he wakens after their initial joining and discovers that He is the one who has been used. It was also entertaining watching him try to get through Chris' disbelief to convince her of the existence of the Darkyn. Actually I still liked the second half of the book but... 4/5 melindeeloo (sb,ca) - See all my reviews, January 14, 2009

Dont listen to the poor reviews!!

So I have wanted one of these for a while now and went on and read a LOT of the reviews here on Amazon. To be honest some of the poor reviews had me a little worried! But I am leaving this review to ASSURE you that nearly ALL of the negative reviews were definitely coming from operator errors (if you get my drift) and people who didnt have ANY idea what they were buying...Clearly the Defender series is going to be a little beefy. Which I would HOPE is why your looking at this sort of case! For a big-bad iphone defending case! and that is JUST what you get! So the reviews on size I feel are unfair, based on the fact that you should have known its a sturdier case. (I find this NO problem for the protection it provides. Works great with a verizon iphone 4! UPDATED, AND NOW 4S!

Seems that some AT&T stores have stocked these on their shelves a little earlier than most stores, so I grabbed one and put it on my iphone 4 right away. (Verizon iPhone 4, not 4S)As far as form and fit goes, it's really similar to the current iphone 4 defender series, the major differences are the cut outs for the front and the back. Also to make note, these cases work on ALL models of the iPhone, whether you have a sprint, verizon, or AT&T model, they'll all work.Otterbox's old defender series didnt properly work with the white iphone 4 due to the location change of the proximity sensor. People would be dialing with their cheek, ear, face, etc because the screen wouldnt shut off. Now with the larger cut out, otterbox has fixed this issue and made the case truly work with all models of the iphone 4/4S, both white and black.Otterbox has also changed the rear camera opening to be one huge opening. Nice upgrade from the original iPhone 4 Defender case

I used the original Otterbox Defender case for my iPhone 4s, and while it worked ok, this version is a definite improvement. The hard plastic case and the screen protector seem to be the same as the original, other than having larger cut outs for the camera/flash and the front camera/light sensor/proximity sensor area. I never had issues using the 4s camera with the older version case, but I did with the proximity sensor and this case fixes that issue. The holster has been changed to update the release mechanism. The tab that holds the phone in the holster has been shaped differently in order to make the phone easier to clip in and release. The biggest upgrade is to the rubber jacket that fits over the plastic case. The rubber seems to be of much higher quality. It has a firmer, more substantial feel, and doesn't seem like it will lose shape over time. It gives the case a better grip in your hand and generally feels more solid overall. The opening for... 4/5 K. Myers (United States) - See all my reviews, October 31, 2011

A great action / drama anime

Shirou lives alone after his adopted father passed away and left him with a huge house. Shirou has the ability to reconstruct objects with his magic. He stumbles across a classmate and a couple warriors in a battle after school. He soon becomes part of "The Holy Grail War". A battle fought every so often to obtain the Holy Grail. The winner gets to make a wish. He becomes the master of a legendary warrior spirit. Her name is Saber. Togther with their ally Rin and her servant, Archer, they will fight against ruthless enemies for their 1 most precious wish. This anime is simply amazing. It has action and drama mixed together with mythology and magic. The modern day setting with legendary mythical heroes is really cool. I normally prefer anime dramas (Kanon, Clannad, Air, etc.) over action series, but this anime combines the 2 genres very well. The voice cast, animation, story, and soundtrack are all top notch. Incredible result, but not around the eyes!

I'm 32, and the only telling thing about my age are the serious wrinkles on my brow. I decided to try this as it wasn't too expensive (look at Strivectin - ouch!) and thought even a small improvement would be worth the price. I have to say, I'm shocked. After about two weeks, I saw noticeable changes, and it's now been about 6 weeks, and the improvement has been tremendous. The wrinkles on my forehead are almost gone. I'll definitely be purchasing more.Like some of the other reviews, there are areas this shouldn't go, like around the eyes. Be careful about that, as it created a little redness, not bad, but it really dried out my skin and caused flaking, which too about a week to clear up. Again, no problems anywhere else, but in sensitive areas like the eyes, it's potency was obvious, and these areas couldn't take it. 4/5 Diesel D (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) To ROC or not...

Don't think about using this if you have very dry skin, as the retinol which eases those fine lines also causes skin to flake and peel, and Never use any product not especially designed for the orbital area around your eyes. I had undergone laser resurfacing about nine years ago on my face, but at the time my doctor said the forehead didn't need it. Now it doesn't have the same smooth feel as the rest of the skin on my face, so I decided to try the ROC Over-night Deep Wrinkle cream. Been using it for several weeks, and it has lessened the lines and made my skin feel smoother, but I've had to use some heavy-duty moisturizer during the day to counteract the drying effects of the product. I've now stopped using it and am using Kinerase, which smooths out those lines but also moisturizes as well. Don't expect it to work overnight, it has a cumulative effect, but at least while you're using it, it hydrates the skin better than anything I've found yet, and it was recommended to me by the... 3/5 Tris McCarran "skinsense" (New York) - See all my reviews This review is from: RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream, 1-Ounce (Health and Beauty) Don't think about using this if you have very dry skin, as the retinol which eases those fine lines also causes skin to flake and peel, and Never use any product not especially designed for the orbital area around your eyes. I absolutely love it!

A hint: I know the polish says not to use a topcoat, but I did topcoat on my ring fingers as the "accent nail" and the sheen is just gorgeous!I love sparkly things, and this polish does NOT disappoint, despite the matte finish of the base polish. When I first began applying it, I was very skeptical. The base polish seemed very thin, and was an icky grey color with the first coat. However, with the second coat application (I used thin coats as advised), it was a complete transformation. I had full opacity with two coats, no visible nail line, and the red just shimmers! My geography professor was impressed because he said it looked like a magma flow.It does have a bit of a strange sandpaper like texture, but it's liquid sand polish, so let's be honest, it was to be expected. My husband loved that I was using the rough finish of my nail to scratch his back for him (lol). It's my second day of wear, and it's held up pretty well - this is saying a lot, as I... 5/5 Rachel "I'm paranoiac in reverse - I suspect ... So fun

This nail polish is so fun and different. I always get compliments when I wear it. You will need to apply 2-3 coats for it to look right, but It dries really fast too. The only downfall is that it chips really fast. Not sure if it's just me or what. Anyways, I still really like it. 4/5 Ryn (USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Fast shipping. Got here in two days! Also cheaper then going to Target or Ulta for it. The OPI is now $9.00. I paid $7.00 for it. Works awesome. Don't use a top coat. Worth the buy.

    Greatest Visual novel game ever

I don't own it, but I was allowed to play a translated version of it. This is a fun PC game that has many branching endings, nice music and an interesting story that twists in on itself and reveals many things about the characters. Its kind of like a a visual version of a choose your own adventure book. An unlike some other games today that have different endings the three major branches make it worth it to replay the game because not only is the ending different, but the whole story changes and you learn things in each branch you would not have learned without playing that branch of the game. I hope some day this game is ported to English computers or game consoles. Totally worth playing. 5/5 Scott Pike "bigreader" (Salem, OR USA) - See all my reviews, April 18, 2012

'Night' No Sophomore Slump--At Least Not Creatively

Following up a hot debut is always a tough proposition, one that befell McCready when she issued her sophomore effort, and on the same day as Shania Twain's massive COME ON OVER. Well, needless to say, IF I DON'T STAY THE NIGHT sold about sixteen and a half million copies less than Twain's pop breakthrough, in this case one of those ugly betrayals in which sales figures fail to match the actual work's quality. Granted, McCready's first disc was a masterful debut, but IF I DON'T STAY THE NIGHT is every bit its'equal--and then some. It's too bad nobody seemed to stick around to notice-the three singles from the set were all pretty much met with a lukewarm reception, despite being as catchy as anything on country radio at the time. And the remainder of the album was stocked to the wall with first-rate material--the title track, 'For A Good Time Call', and 'Oh Romeo' were all single-worthy. On top of that, McCready manages to cover Linda Ronstadt's 'Long Long Time'--and in the process... 5/5 Chris S. 5 stars

I got this CD four years ago when it came out. It was one of the first country CDs I bought actually. I bought it after hearing "You'll Never Know", the most beautiful song on the album written by acclaimed songwriter Kim Richey. Although the singles off this CD failed to win big at radio, that doesn't mean that the songs aren't great. I still play this CD after four years! It's an all time favorite. If you bought her first CD "Ten Thousand Angels", you'll love this one. You'll also love "I'm Not So Tough", her most current release. The songs on this CD display various emotions and Mindy uses her voice like an instrument. "What If I Do" is a Mindy song with attitude, that same attitude that made "Guys Do It All The Time" a number one hit. "Oh Romeo" is one of the best songs and it touches on the sensitive topic of teen suicide. "Long, Long Time" is sung with amazing emotion, it's probably one of Mindy's... 5/5 Maren Cuykendall (Coralville, IA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: If I Don't Stay the Night (Audio CD) I got this CD four years ago when it came out. Mindy's Best

With her strong showoff debut, it comes as no surprise that Mindy released this jewel with a different emotion. You won't find a "Guys Do It All The Time," But you will find some power ballads. One of the best is "Long Long Time," which displays Mindy's vocal power better than any other song she has recorded. But if you are looking for one of the better written songs in a long long time, check out the title track "If I Don't Stay The Night." Another strong song is "You'll Never Know," Which is a survivor song. The only smudge would be the silly "Oh Romeo", otherwise you are looking at a strong classic you'll want to play over and over. 5/5 0, July 25, 2000
