Went from an iPad 1 to Galaxy Tab 2 and love it

So this device just came out this morning, and I hadn't planned on buying it but I was down at my local best buy store and played with it just to see what it was and loved it! Let me say I used to have all apple stuff, apple computer, iphone, ipad, etc. Over the last year my apples have rotted, went bad and needed to be replaced. Instead of paying high dollar for all new apple stuff I went back to a windows PC, an Andorid Galaxy S2 phone, still had the iPad but it was in need of replacement. So I got to Best Buy they didn't have these out yet but they pulled one out and let me play with it while they set up the are for the demo unit to go. I liked it, very snappy, great screen. The device comes preloaded with ICS on it, it's VERY snappy with zero lag so far.The screen while not a retina display like the iPad is still clear enough for me. After all I'm not holding this inches from my face. if you do you get a chance to play with 1 of these before you buy go to... 5/5 J. Haggard (Nashville, TN) - See all my reviews, April 22, 2012

Why I prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to the Kindle Fire

I have a and do enjoy using it (for the most part) -- love the form factor, enjoy the apps that I can get for it and am very pleased with the Kindle eReader app and ability to share books across all our Kindles. But when we were offered an opportunity to check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 a few days early, we jumped at the chance. The Kindle Fire is great at what it does, but its custom Android O/S, non-standard Web browser, limited selection of apps, lack of expandable storage and lack of Bluetooth support leave me cold.*Browser Issues*I've experienced multiple issues trying to browse web sites with the Kindle's Silk browser which work fine on the Galaxy Tab 2 and other full-fledged Android devices. Although Flash videos can be played on the Kindle Fire (if you enable Flash in the Silk browser's setting... 5/5 Chris Boylan "MrBoylan" (Astoria, NY USA) - See all my reviews, April 23, 2012

    Breakthrough Price & Value

This is a brand new product from Samsung that breaks the $250 price barrier. There are a lot of tablets at or below this price but they are mostly very low end devices with slow CPUs, poor screens and built for non-US markets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 makes none of the compromises typical of this price point and provides the same kind of performance you'd expect from the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab portfolio. It's fast, slick, has a great screen and even has Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I do like the new operating system and adapted to it in minutes. In addition to front & rear cameras there is bluetooth and even an IR blaster so you can use it as a remote for your TV. It only took a minute to set that up and get a program guide downloaded. All the apps on my Gingerbread phone loaded up to the Tab and run fine on the ICS platform. I can't comment on battery life yet as I plugged it for the initial charge and setup and haven't run on battery yet. As far as WiFi... 5/5 Brucer (Hawaii) - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi) (Personal Computers) This is a brand new product from Samsung that breaks the $250 price barrier. Best album of George's at the time

George's maturation as a singer paid off with this rock solid offering. A great mix of western swing, ballads, and uptempo rockers was attained. Two of George's most popular songs, All My Ex's and Ocean Front Property, are the main attractions. Both are admittedly a little silly and not very deep, but make up for it by being simply a pleasure to listen to and sing along with. They have since become two of the hallmark songs of 80's country music. Am I Blue is a great swing number with a nice fiddle work. The best nonsingles are two rockers, Burning Flames and My Heart Won't Wander. Clever phrasing and infectious beats carry the listener along. My Heart boasts many classic lines, such as: "Fix me grapes and rib-eye gravy", "Scratch my back right where it itches", and "Straighten out my fish and tackle." Without You Here illustrates nicely the idea of homesickness, and You Can't Buy Your Way is heavily drenched in old-time honky... 5/5 Jonathan Lammert - See all my reviews This review is from: Ocean Front Property (Audio CD) George's maturation as a singer paid off with this rock solid offering. Country gold

The songs that George sang on this album really go with the title and theme of the album no song is out of place. This triple platinum classic has got to be one of his best. Of course maybe some of these songs really do not have alot of emotion to them and really do not send a message but they are still some of his best. Like on many of his albums there are always many songs with radio potential and especially on this one you get that only 3 singles were pulled from this record. Of course everyone who listens to country has heard All my ex's live in texas, Am I Blue, and Ocean Front Property because you can hear those any old day but then you have this whole other array of songs that never made it on country radio and they are really good like Hot Burning Flames and My heart won't wander very far from you look like good singles. If you enjoy George Strait's music like many then you'll most likely love Ocean Front Property, it did not debut at #1 on the Billboard charts in 1987 for... 5/5 Roy Levins (san antonio, Texas United States) - See all my reviews, March 12, 2001

    Not just a body wash!

This viscous blue gel is amazing on both body and hair! This was the second Billy Jealousy product I purchased and is probably my favorite. The color and feel of the product is great. A light translucent blue with a liquid soap consistency. The smell is what sold me though.I have never smelled anything that was quite like this product. Very fresh and very clean smelling. It left my hair smelling amazing, along with the rest of my body.Highly recommended. 5/5 Pat (Chicago IL) - See all my reviews This review is from: Billy Jealousy Ocean Front Body Wash, 8 Ounces (Health and Beauty) This viscous blue gel is amazing on both body and hair! Works amazingly well & smells great!

This is definitely the absolute best body wash I've ever used! You feel clean, refreshed, revitalized and this stuff doesn't dry your skin. If you prefer body wash over soaps this is the ONLY way to go. Great for the gym. Great for home. A absolute must for someone who wants to simply be clean and smell great! I love love love this stuff. Awesome, as good as Halo 2.

I was curious about his game some people were nuts about, so I borrowed it from a friend, and LOVED it! Some of the missions can be challenging, but you eventually get them done. Now for an organised Review:Graphics: Pretty good. Not as good as Halo 2, since there's no expressions, but some of the special effects are done nicely.4/5Gameplay: Very difficult to just pick up and play, but play a few easy missions like Kamino, and you'll be destroying droidekas in no time. In the missions, if you get enough kills, you unlock 2 special troops, each with special abilities. Also, if you do good enough and get lots of kills without dying, you get to play as a Hero, and deal some serious damage. Have a hard time using your hero? Do Assault on Mos Eisly Cantina, and you'll get to practice aginst other heros and Villains in the Ultimate fragfest.5/5Durability: Tons of Missions to do and areas to explore, making this quite a worthwile... 5/5 Kristopher G. Great Improvements but H-HARD!!

I haven't played through the whole game yet but the improvements I have seen so far are very good. However before I get to the changes in game play I have to say that this game makes Battlefront I look like a walk in the park. The space battles are HARD and when I say "HARD" I mean borderline "IMPOSSIBLE". Flying over to land on an opposing ship with turbo lasers frying anything that gets close to it only to land (if you make it) and have 10 enemy pilots waiting to blast you when you step out of the cockpit as well as automated blasters guarding vital systems that you need to blow up equals a lot of controller hurling frustration. On the positive side the playable heroes are powerful but unfortunately seem to function more as temporary bonuses rather than "characters". Heroes can only be accessed during certain points in a battle and are limited to their own boards. For example you can't play as Han Solo during the Clone Wars. Once a hero is killed you'll be waiting awhile... 5/5 mom to 3 boys (usa) - See all my reviews = Fun:, November 3, 2005

    WHOLE NEW GAME

This game is different, I bought battlefront II thinking "I master Battlefront I on hard level in one day, so I should be able to jump right into battlefront II and wipe everyone out" Not!! When I 1st got the game I went right to Galactic Conquest I click on the 1st selection and I was fighting in space and was very excited until I got kill 15 times!! (most I ever died in Battlefront I was 4 times) then to top it off I couldn't shot down any ships, I became very frustrated!!! Then I exited the space fighting and went to Genoese to do land battle (which I know I'm expert at) then I was being killed there every minute and I had hard time understand were my life meter was, how to reload ammo etc... I was ready to give up on the game and understood why some people said Battlefront II isn't as good as Battlefront I.Then I decided to started the game from the beginning and went through "Training" which is Very easy but that is where I learn how I can change my trooper in the... 5/5 0, November 2, 2005

    Spring for a hard drive!

Don't make the same mistake I did -- the 4 GB version may seem like a good deal if you don't think you'll need a lot of space, but what they don't tell you is that some features REQUIRE an actual hard drive. You might think that a gig is a gig and it shouldn't make any difference whether it's on a disk or flash memory, but to the Xbox, they are not equivalent. This means that unless you buy a hard drive (and it has to be one of the new 250 GB hard drives because the old ones are not compatible), you get no backwards compatibility with Xbox games, and some 360 games will arbitrarily block you from some features such as playing online or even installing updates or DLC, regardless of how much free space you have available. Basically, you can only use the internal storage (or a flash drive) to store full games, saves, or other media, but it's not the same as having a 4 GB hard drive. I wish someone had told me this before I bought mine; I foolishly assumed that the features... 3/5 S. Hammack (Tallahassee, FL) - See all my reviews = Fun:, November 19, 2010

New features at a great price!

The xbox 360 slim with 4 GB is what the original arcade version should have been.10 new features of this model are:1. New Valhalla chip - hopefully improved design to prevent RRoD issue, but tech. reviews noted that the Jasper chip in the older Elite model runs cooler2. WiFi N - this is the newest wifi standard that is 12X faster (up to 600 Mbits/ sec) than wifi G; you'll need a Wifi N router to get the max. speed3. digital optical audio port (IF your sound system is separate from your TV, then you'll need this to get full 5.1 surround sound)4. 4 GB of flash memory (although 1.1 GB is used by the game system, but 0.3 GB can be reclaimed by deleting 4 game demos)5. 5 USB ports (2 in front & 3 in back)6. slimmer design with side vents (to prevent overheating)7. dedicated Kinect port (just a convenience feature)8. only 1 year of warranty (the only negative; older Elite models had 3 yrs.)9. The best yet!

The best Xbox so far. The matte finish, price, 4GB internal is plenty for game saves and some add-ons. If you want more memory, just add 1-2 16GB USB flash sticks. I use USB drives for game saves and full game installs. This way I never have to worry about IF the system breaks on me. I'll always have my personal saves on the flash sticks. I never trust hard drives as they are more prone to fail over a flash stick. Thats why I didn't keep the 250GB version. Plus I don't do demos so I don't need that kind of space. Matte finish does not collect dust and hair like the gloss version does which drove me crazy as I did own the 250GB version for a short time until this version came out. VERY HAPPY with the arcade. 3/5 Mikey (NC, USA) - See all my reviews = Fun:, August 6, 2010
