  Extremely Satisfied with Silent Feet

  No one locally had this, so I took a chance on buying online.The Silent Feet Anti-Walk pads work surprisingly well.I had a tiny closet, so I should have purchased the other style with the slidable rear pads.I figured out how to install them, with some cloth under them in the rear and it worked great.You absolutely MUST ensure that you have the machine's feet set so the machine is as perfectly level as you can get it.Using a stacked front loader set,with its extremely high spin speed, the Silent Feet Pads prevent most of the noise from going into the floor.I think they claim to reduce vibrations over 94% or such.That is true in my case as this new machine is actually quieter that a tradition top load laundry center I previously had.Thanks for a super product! 5/5 John M Kane (Milwaukee) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Great Product that really works

  Don't expect these to completely resolve your vibrating washing machine problem, but if you have a washer on the second level of your house you need this product. Our washer literally shook the house in the spin cycle. Now it vibrates about 50% less than before which is a huge improvement. These feet are solid and well built.I was looking at consumer reports do decide which washing machine to buy and they indicated that no matter which washer you buy, you need an isolating product if it is for the second level of your home. They recommended using this product.   It really works!

  I have these under my 20+ year old washing machine.   Fine super-portable am/fm weatherband radio

  Comments for prospective buyers:1) PLL (Phase locked loop) digitally synthesized, am/fm/weatherband radio with very low noise, i.e., very good sensitivity as well as good selectivity (the ability to distinguish between adjacent frequency, interfering signals).2) This radio can only be manually tunned by pressing the + (forward/up) or - (back/down) frequency tuning button. It will even advance semi-automatically if you hold the button down and you will hear the stations as the radio sweeps through the frequencies so you know how/where to locate stations (unlike Sangean pocket radios which mute during automatic scan and seek functions). Thus, there is no fully automatic, press and scan or even a seek function, but I have found this manual tuning capability totally adequate because of the simplicity of the five preset tuning buttons for each band (with 2 sets of five presets on the fm band).   Great little radio.

  I bought this Walkman for mowing the lawn and have ended up using it all the time, riding my bike two miles to work, while putting around my shop,and mowing the yard. The reception is crisp and clear, and even here in "Radio Free Wyoming", I can pick up several F.M. stations and the weather band.   Tried It, Went Back to Sangean

  I'm a talk radio buff so AM reception is primary. Most of the things I could say about this radio have been covered already in the reviews here: strong, good AM reception (but not inside steel frame buildings and under fluorescent lights, of course), good FM reception, rugged build, good ergonomics and intuitive presets and tuning. Ann E. Revelle's review is particularly detailed and helpful.Less discussed is the sound quality of the SRF-M37W, a primary consideration (along with reception) when I'm buying a radio. Here's my take: compared with two other pocket radios I have owned--the Sangean DT-110 AM/FM Digital Pocket Radio and the Sangean DT-180V AM/FM/TV Digital Pocket Radio--I would have to say the sound quality is a little less bright and immediate.   A Showcase For Reilly, And Screamingly Funny To Boot!

  Ya'd figure that classic zany comedy was dead. Sure, there have been ambitious stuff, but more often than not, a lot of today's "comedy" movies are either blatent "gross-out" fests written for 12-year-olds, or the tired "let's-make-a-satire-of-the-current-favorite-genre" formula. Truthfully, the last great American comedy for me was "There's Something About Mary." Sure, it was a stupid-humor film, but it had genuine laugh-out-loud surprises and, more importantly, heart. Basically, it was a sweet romantic comedy with slapstick thrown in for good measure.Judd Apatow, whether he's directing or producing, seems to be the guy who'll revive well-done dumb-guy humor. All by himself, judging by the list of hits he's thrown out. "Walk Hard," unfortunately, was the least commercially success ful of them, and for what reason I don't know.   Walk the Funny Line

  (3.5 *'s) Judd Apatow's `Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story' is a familiar project. As the producer of `The Forty Old Virgin, 'Knocked Up,' and 'Superbad,' he takes another irreverent comedy, this time a parody of music biopics of popular music icons. Sometimes savvy, sometimes obvious, the movie is mostly an effective and witty trip through pop music history.One of the best decisions was to cast John C. Reilly in the title role. Watching the film, I kept thinking Will Ferrell could have been cast as Dewey Cox. As much as I like Ferrell, his overexposure to such familiar loopiness may have made the movie overwrought. With Reilly's fine performance as "Lefty" in 'A Prairie Home Companion,' they made the right choice.   For the dreamers out there who also like to laugh

  I have never before been inspired by a satirical, fictional comedy. (Is that half redundant?) But by the end of Walk Hard, I felt fantastic! That was the unexpected curve. The comedy though, is what I was after and I got it by the fistfuls! Sight gags, the absurd, live action caricatures of famous people, plenty of drug humor, etc. There were aspects of Steve Martin being channeled by John C. Reilly. And, I feel you can't really go wrong with John. He's not Academy Award material, he's just a perfect character actor. I enjoyed immensely his will to succeed coupled with his faulty decision-making processes. He was an idiot, but an intensely focused idiot. They basically made fun of every "unknown boy from nowhere makes it big" movie that came before it. And they did it well. The beginning had me wondering if the level of comedy was going to be elemntary school or not. And maybe it was. Who cares? It got funnier to me the longer I watched.   A very different game

  After the linear-style of Final Fantasy and other similar RPGs (Which I love BTW), I found Star Ocean 2 a wonderfully refreshing experience. There are just so many options - starting from the beginning, you can choose your main character, which other characters you want and take it from there, eventually leading to one out of 86 different endings. It's true that the endings stem mainly from the different combinations of characters that get together in the end...but 86! What other game can boast so much replay value?The item creation system is very unique - cooking, art, machinery, authoring, customising...it's all within your power. You choose the skills and specialities the characters learn. They write books for the other characters to read, make better weapons, compose music and create delicious (or not so delicious) dishes. They can even combine their skills to make super specialities, which allow you to get better at cooking, publishing, etc, and my favourite - where... 4/5 0, April 29, 2000

  Ever see this equation? Two disks + two characters + over eighty endings = one great game. Yesiree, besides the impressive numbers, Star Ocean has another charm, addictive as it is, awesome as it may be. There aren't many games out nowadays about storyline and character development, yet this one seems to be less and less like a videogame and more and more like an epic novel. Every choice you make, every turn you take, every character you invite into your party, you shape your own destiny and blaze your own trail. These characters, in terms of emotion, are no doubt about it-- Real. You develop meaningful relationships and for a moment, call me crazy, but you are that character. The game isn't without its quirks: Meaningless battles make it hard to find what you're really looking for, and even more are those annoying thought balloons that pop over character's head when they're angry, sad, surprised, or just really deep in thought.   Innovation is the key to success

  SO2, is a great game. So what if the graphics aren't that good! The battle system, is better than Final Fantasy's mainly because you can move about the battle field, give the characters commands AND set what you want them to do automatically without having to take control. It is by far more involved and easier to get into battles. The variety of magic is truly awesome, as well as Killer Moves. The music is decent. You can also decide on who you want to play as in the beginning (like Resident Evil 2) There is a wide variety of other characters to pick from, so with a strategy guide, it is possible to customize your party into the Ultimate fighting force! Probably the biggest thing is being able to learn abilities, such as making and upgrading weapons, restoration items, books to earn tons of money, pickpocketing, attacks, plus many, many other things besides. However, SO2 is very tough, and you'll most likely find yourself level building after every event. But, it's well... 4/5 0, August 31, 2000
