Ron Wiggins has done a fabulous job at acquainting both the Florida native and non-native reader with an enjoyable review of a diverse number of great places to visit in Florida besides the Big Name Attractions that most folks are aware of. His humorous and informative style makes for an easy read that might even elicit a grin or laugh here and there. I came across this item by accident, bought it, and think it is one of the best investments I've ever made. This guy is a genius. If this DVD could be marketed in pill form, we'd all be stress-free. If you love Florida, and more specifically, its beaches, you MUST buy this DVD. I would never have believed that watching something on television could be this relaxing, but I do now. The scenes are nothing short of breathtaking, and the colour is just amazing. The only sounds are of the waves...no tinkling music or faux bird calls. You have the option of watching the beaches with or without the subtitles as the locations change, so if you see a scene and think you must go on your next trip south, you can see what beach the segment was shot at. Bahia Honda, here I come! To sum it up in a nutshell, this DVD is a must-buy for beach lovers, especially to 'tide' you over until your next visit. 5/5 hecallsmebeachgirl (Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews This review is from: Vol 10. Florida Beaches

If you love Florida you will love this dvd.It takes you on the beaches of Jacksonville,Keywest,Panama City and other places in Florida.Florida Beaches features some of everything gulls, boats, lighthouses and there is even a rainbow shown on one of the days. The sailboats and lighthouses are on day 5 On Panama City Beach and Day 6 on Jacksonville. The wave action is mostley the lapping kind although it seems just a little bigger on Panama City and Jacksonville. The video is sharp on this disc. The beaches of Florida look good. You can really see the blues come out in Panama City's beaches(ocean)and the whites of the waves look good. The sunsets are fabulous. Each day has a beautiful sunset. On some shots the water looks orange due to the sunset reflection. My favorites are Jacksonville and Panama City Beach but I like all of them.Make sure you go into the menu and cut on the beach subtitles it will tell you what island you are on of Jacksonville,Clearwater etc.Just like with the other waves... 5/5 Jeff Carter (Perry, Ga United States) - See all my reviews, December 16, 2004

    Super Nature

'Hypnotic' is the word that comes to mind. I think Mr.Voevodsky creates the best 'feel-good' videos one can find. In simple, well-chosen still shots, he shows us the best beach-beauty Florida has to offer (and that is quite a lot). Shimmering white sand and sapphire sky frame passing catamarans and graceful shore birds busily bobbing for dinner in the gently surging surf. Only natural sounds for background and sunsets that electrify even as they soothe. No sand fleas. No humidity. No sunscreen required. I challenge anyone to stay tense after the first ten minutes of this work of art. 5/5 Bruce King (Seattle, WA, USA) - See all my reviews, January 17, 2005

GO WEST young man, and take this book with ya...

I purchased this book for a major family road trip vacation that our family took through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Besides the book that I purchased that was for California specifically this book was another invaluable item for our vacation of a lifetime. Not only was it a wealth of information on tips for making the car ride more enjoyable, but also helped us to be uber prepared for anything that might come up, including food issues and expenses, entertaining the kids, where the populated areas are for gas stations, motels and campgrounds, and must-see attractions. And we were assured that we would not miss something by driving right by it and not knowing it was there or worth seeing. This book is loaded with the "must-see" things we didn't want to miss. And their ratings for things were right on. We were armed and dangerous with our information of what everything was going to cost, how we were going to plan our route to see the things we wanted to see, how... 5/5 Colleen "If it's not fun, what's the point?" Nothing but great from Family Fun!

I loved the book (we got the southeast one). It covers all of the southeast, not just FL and the big mouse! We live in GA so this book is awesome for us as we are central to all of the states it covers. If you are only buying one book, this should be it!! It rates must do's, costs, ages and also includes hotels and local eateries which most travel guides don't. I was very impressed. The above reviewer is reviewing the CA book so don't ket her review persuade you not to buy. needs help

This book needs some help. I am a big Family Fun Fan, and take the mag. and have all their books and was so excited to find that they had finally put a travel book together.I loved the begining part about ways to travel with kids, all their tips and side notes. I liked that I could find kid friendly hotels and resturaunts. But I was so dissapointed that alot of the states that I would be traveling in the book only talked about a few areas in that state. California should of had been one book and talked about northern and southern Calif., not just a few citties.Family Fun has always had out of the way and unusal places to travel in their mag. why didn't they do this for their travel book.If you are looking to see places all over the southwest in this book, you might be dissapointed like me. 4/5 elizabeth bescoby (mt baldy, ca United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Family Fun Vacation Guide: Southwest - Book #3 (Paperback) This book needs some help. An outstanding follow-up release to "Beauty and the Beat".

The Go-Go's are one of those rare occurrences in rock 'n roll; a group that actually never released a bad album! In fact, I would go so far as to say that perhaps only one or two songs from all four major releases could be considered somewhat "lack-luster". Basically, all of the material released by the Go-Go's between 1981 and 1984 was outstanding. Even the 2001 release "God Bless the Go-Go's" is strikingly good! The Go-Go's have always been a group with determination, plenty of ambition, and a genuine love of the rock 'n roll fantasy!"Vacation" was considered a bit weaker than the debut effort (Beauty and the Beat) by many critics of the day, but I strongly disagree! Songs like "Get Up and Go", "Beatnik Beach", "I Think It's Me" and "Worlds Away" are incredibly well crafted pop songs and are required listening for fans of the Go-Go's. I cannot imagine a stronger follow-up release!I must point out that the career of the Go-Go's closely paralleled that of... 5/5 J. McDonald - See all my reviews, April 3, 2006

    I Think It's Me...

Don't believe the tripe! This is by far the Go-Go's best album! I was so tired of the mediocre reviews that I thought I'd set the record straight. Every song on 'Vacation' has something good going for it, from the high-energy 'Beatnik Beach' and 'Get Up And Go' to the driving emotion of 'I Think It's Me' and 'This Old Feeling'(my personal fave rave). No sophomore slump of any kind! I guess the other reviewers wanted the gals to repeat 'Beauty And The Beat', but I think this album is slightly better, in that there are no sludgy, dreary moments like 'Automatic' from that LP...everything is upbeat and shows the Go-Go's songwriting at it's near peak. If you like any other Go-Go's release, you won't be sorry you picked this one up. 5/5 winkingtiger ";oD" (Oakland, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Vacation (Audio CD) Don't believe the tripe! Vacation--all I ever wanted!

In July 1999, Universal Music Company came to their senses and reissued the last two Go-Go's albums. I mean, they were the epitomy of 1980's new wave power-pop, and how dare UMC keep this music out of print? For shame! The followup to Beauty And The Beat, Vacation, is the topic of this review. The title track is one of their best songs, the epitomy of what time away from the usual drudgery is all about. It's still relevant today; as the song says, "vacation/meant to be spent alone." A vacation with people is a contradiction in terms. The only two songs that rival the bounce of "Vacation" are "Get Up And Go" and "Beatnik Beach," the former with its pronounced bass lines and "hey!" refrain, and the latter with its surf guitar. "The Way You Dance" is another relentless song of honorable mention, which ends with a crescendo of crash boom and bams from Gina Schock. They keep the rhythm up in fluffy songs such as... 5/5 Daniel J. not for ipad with retina display (4th generation)

The marware CEO hybrid case is an excellent quality case with good protection and functionality. However, I bought this for my 4th generation Ipad with retina display. The ipad 4 is slightly thicker compared to the ipad 3 or ipad 2. You can verify this on the apple website. The marware CEO hybrid is specifically fit to the other ipads. My ipad 4 was too tight for this case. I was afraid that the edge of the front screen would scratch because of the tight clips holding it place as well as the cover whenever you try to close it. Marware should not have advertised this case for the 4th generation ipad. I'm willing to wait a little bit longer for a better fitting case for the ipad 4. Sleep/wake feature fixed! Great case now...

I bought this case online a few days before the March 17 delivery date for the new iPad. It showed up on the 15th! By the 18th I had noticed the sleep/wake issue, though it was not serious. That same day Marware sent me an email apologizing for the problem and noting they were working on a fix. I emailed customer service and they confirmed they would mail me a free replacement. No RMA or cost or hassle. It just shipped on Friday and arrived Tuesday. And yes, it works perfectly!!!Marware gets major props for designing this case fast so I could protect my new iPad. They deserve even more credit for noting the problem, contacting me to confirm it, and then sending a free second case. The revised case fits a little less ultra-snugly so is easier to use..If you care, this doesn't seem to be actual carbon fiber composite, which would be aerospace rigid and expensive (though light). it seems to be a high grade synthetic or polymer that gives off a nice new-car smell fresh... 5/5 Ancient Mariner (Salt Lake City USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Marware AHHB1P C.E.O. Excellent Case At A Fantastic Price!!!

I just bought my first iPad at one of the leading brick-and-mortar stores. There was no real advantage to buying it from Amazon since Apple tightly controls the pricing for these devices. However, this is not so for the case. At the brick-and-mortar stores, even very cheaply made cases seemed to average about $50. So, I decided I could wait a few days and set my sights on getting a better deal on Amazon.I reviewed many cases on Amazon and this one by Marware seemed to have the biggest bang per buck. I was not disappointed! To begin with, I had considered paying extra for two- or three-day shipping. Fortunately I decided against it. I received the case via free super saver shipping in three days!!!Now on to the case. It is very well made and sold. It feels (and smells) almost like leather. All of the edges and corners are smooth. My new (third generation) iPad fits snuggly. When closed, the iPad is completely protected with all edges tightly aligned.
